I’m looking to get a broadband card, or I guess cell phone that can allow my laptop to access the internet at any time. I noticed the cards aren’t terribly expensive, but the providers I’ve looked at all charge 60 or more a month for unlimited internet information. Is there any company’s that offer broadband cheaper?
I’m in the US

Clearwire has PC cards, and their service plans start at 49.99 a month. I highly doubt you will find unlimited service for any cheaper than that.

I always thought electric would be cheaper but I’ve heard that gas actually is. We’re currently shopping for a cheap, used one and don’t know what kind we should look for. We have hookups for both. thanks ahead of time

I prefer a gas dryer. I don’t know if there is a big difference in the cost to operate, but the performance of a gas dryer is a big plus……wish I had a gas dryer again…….

No, it is the most expensive way of paying for gas and electricity.

I am trying to find better utilities than the ones that come with Windows XP. the main ones I am looking to have alternates for are Disk Defrag, Disk Cleaner, Task Manager, and MSConfig. The cheaper the better. Thanks.

www.sysinternals.com

These guys make the best windows utils in my oppinion. So good that microsoft bought them. Fortunently the quality of their products has not been sacrified. They’re also completely free! Their "Prcoess Explorer" App is pretty much task manager on steroids, and then some. I highly recommend they’re stuff.

FYI, one of the guys who writes this stuff is also the one who discovered the infamous Sony rootkit.

we have a certain amount of dozens that we are suppost to put out each month we are below our dozens the company has now taken six union employees and placed them in the warehouse they did not go by plant senority they picked who they wanted according to who they thought was not needed on their job the thing is there is this one girl who is the only one on her job they took her and our cuff girl plus our utility girl now they are saying they can put anyone on those jobs and if your dozens are done on your job then they can basically drop your pay and pay base rate now how can the company do this what can we do to help our selfs because our union rep isnt doing to much i realize they need to get thier orders out but i want the company to be fair for ex take our only baste zipper person and put someone else on that job that can not sew as much and pay her less money than if she was to be doing her own job
we have talked to our union rep she cannot give us one answere why they did this the way they did she doesnt suggest that we file a grievence she says if we dont like then go to the union meeting which will be after the order is done and what can change then the damage is already done they are changing when we get the curve and our training time if we are put on new job we only get 18 hours traing time it use to be 40hours I have been there ten and a half years and the company says we have been doing it wrong all along i asked what about past practices and they told me it doesnt matter we were reading the contract wrongall this time if we were then so wasnt the company i just dont get it and i dont know who else to turn to if we cant get the people we voted in to fight for what we believe to be right then where do we go, its almost like what ever the company says go how can they all thesudden say that they can basically stick you on any job as long as they feel like it .

If this is a breech of union contract, which I’m assuming that it is, your union officials, and shop stewards need to be raising some hell right about now. The company has flagrantly disregarded the labor contract, and it is going to take union solidarity to straighten this out, this means everyone filing a grievance for breech of contract. Contact your regional union Representative, to arrange a meeting with the plant manager. This is going to take everyone in your union local getting involved, if you want to fight this.
Let me know how this turns out. Best Regards!

I was wondering is it possible to recieve broadband on the pc and the sametime as mobile? Also can you recommend a package which would do this which is not to expensive?

Ok Im not totally sure what you are asking, but I can recommend a company that would allow you to rent the broadband and you can use it in a router or a computer. If you are looking for this broadband access on the short term then the company WifiRents.com may be good for you. You can call them and get more information on broadband use, I have used them in the past for short 2 or 3 week rentals and I liked the service they offered. Check it out hopefully this will give you access to more info to help solve your question.

i have a oil burning furnace that costs a small fortune . over $500.00 to fill half the tank up.

Your furnace doesn’t burn crude oil. It burns either #2 fuel oil or kerosene. If the tank is outside you probably use kerosene because #2 will gel at cold temperatures. If natural gas is available it is usually the least expensive way to heat. To reduce the cost of heating with oil, have the burner serviced once a year. Oil burners are at their most efficient when cleaned and serviced, then they start losing efficiency immediately. Once a gas burner is set up for maximum efficiency it doesn’t lose that efficiency. To figure out the costs of heating with different fuels use this simple formula: BTUs per gallon divided by price per gallon times efficiency of the heating system. This gives you the number of BTUs that you get from each dollar.

I have googled enough :P

I would guess that getting your electricity from the local grid and best priced supplier will be cheaper for a 415v supply. Depending how large a supply you want you could be charged 1 or 2 pence a unit cheaper than domestic prices (or as much as half if its a really huge supply you need). Cheaper becasue of economy of scale for the generators – they can produce electricity lots cheaper than you.

Generators might be cheaper to run if you can find a cheap source of fuel for them and use the generator over many years, 20 or so.

Answerer above had a good point, why not get a kiln that is heated by the fuel directly rather than electricity? Could be cheaper depending on the fuel of course

water and gas ,there is only one choice as for electricity you have a choice but I have always used the company that repairs the lines therefore prompt service in case of a problem is guaranteed
