I’m trying to decide between two apartments; one of them includes a flat monthly fee for utilities, the other only pays water. I’m having trouble estimating what my utilities would be (my expenses alone, no roommates, living in Tucson, AZ). After factoring in utilities, which of these is the cheaper option?
Option 1: Rent = $419/month, includes water
Option 2: Rent = $470/month, includes water, electric, gas, trash & sewer
470 a month, damn where do you live? It’s like 1200 a month for an apt in jersey where I live but 470 would be the best option will all included, utilities can get expensive!
ok live in south arkansas…. im a single mom with one child…. i priced the universities housing…. 13542 for 12 month lease on campus..true its 2 bed one bath. fully furnished and utilities included but is that really the best buy? Ive heard of housing by your income.. but not on campus of course.. and have heard of actual housing grants… maybe should just by a small used mobile home? any suggestoins?
Usually on-campus housing is the best deal. Other housing options can put you in less desirable locations and then you have to include you transportation costs on top of other expenses, like utilities.
