If you take virgin media phone and broadband package you will pay for line rental of about £13.50 per month and broadband for £7.99 I think, there are cheaper suppliers but be very wary of them and do not consider Talk Talk.
What some of my Friends have done is take the Virgin phone and broadband package but also have bought a digital phone adaptor, which allows them to connect a phone via the broadband router, this gives them free calling to all UK land lines 24/7, reduced charges to mobiles and calls to about 48 countries for a maximum of 6.1 pence inc vat.
If you go to this web site http://www.iolair.acnshop.eu you will find the virgin deals under the broadband section and the phone adaptor under the digital section.
