I am just looking for a new place to live in Waitara NSW, Australia,
I am just wondering which way of cooking in cheaper, Gas or Electric?
The area has both options but I am just wondering which way is better,

Gas has always been way cheaper, since it usually takes gas to make electricity to then be sent to your house.

Gas could be more if you have a cheaper source of generating electricity in that area, like hydropower or real cheap nuclear or coal.

But in general, gas is cheaper since you don’t need machinery to produce the heat like you do to produce electricity

Gas everybody says is cheap but how much cheaper I don’t know.

I would prefer electric myself but I have gas here. I am concerned about leaks. You never have that worry with electric.
