The author of the site offers the right to customers to download the software for a fixed duration, which is trial period. And if the customers are using the software even after the trial period, they are required to pay some amount of money or delete the software they were using. Normally the trial period goes up to 30 days.
Normally, Shareware Utility includes some of the common softwares programs like screensavers, games, utility and etc. But sometime, it may include vast program like Internet Relay Chat (IRC) progam including mIRC for windows, Ircle and Snak, for Mac OS. As per as guidelines of Shareware Utility says, if customers are using the utility items (softwares) even after the trial period, he should pay the charge required by author. this is where the advantage of shareware lies. Most of the time, customers keep using the software even the trail period finishes without paying any charge.
The categories of Shareware Utility may range from software development, business, education, design, multimedia, gaming, and other utility. The apparatus of shareware demands two-way profit. On one side, customers gets the software at cheap rates; and on another, the author are paid some charges for sharing the programs with customers. The best that can work is that customers ought to be conscious paying the appropriate charges to let the system of Shareware Utility work efficiently.
