If going to Disney World on a budget, the Disney Dining Plan is the best idea. Your food is prepaid which not only helps with staying on a budget, but it allows you to sample more expensive menu items without "breaking the bank". When using the DDP it's a better idea to use quick-service credits for breakfast, snack credits mid-day, and the table-service for dinner. Most people feel that they have to use quick-service credits for lunch and table-service credits for dinner which gives them 2 big meals back-to-back, resulting in the complaint many have that it's too much food that they feel obligated to eat. The Disney Quick-Service meal plan can cut costs even more if you don't mind all quick-service type meals, but there are some very nice meals available like in The Land.
